Objective
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish clear and acceptable behaviors for all participants, volunteers, and members of the public engaged with BTG Cycling. We are committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment at all events and activities.
- Respectful Behavior at Events
All individuals involved with BTG Cycling, including participants, volunteers, staff, and members of the public, are expected to adhere to the following standards of respectful behavior:
- Inclusivity: Embrace diversity and create an inclusive environment. Treat everyone with kindness, respect, and dignity, regardless of their background, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, abilities, or beliefs.
- Communication: Engage in open and constructive communication. Listen actively and respond thoughtfully. Avoid using offensive language, derogatory remarks, or personal attacks.
- Conflict Resolution: Address disagreements or conflicts in a constructive manner. If conflicts arise, seek to resolve them amicably through dialogue and mutual understanding.
- Supportive Environment: Encourage and support fellow participants and volunteers. Celebrate their achievements and contributions, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.
- Safety and Well-Being: Prioritize the safety and well-being of all individuals at events. Harassment, bullying, or any form of intimidation will not be tolerated.
- Responsibilities of Participants and Volunteers
All participants and volunteers are expected to:
- Arrive on time and fully prepared for events, including any necessary equipment or supplies.
- Follow all event guidelines, instructions, and safety protocols.
- Respect event venues, property, and the environment. Dispose of waste properly and follow recycling guidelines.
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or violations of this Code of Conduct to BTG Cycling staff immediately.
- Measures in Case of Violations
BTG Cycling takes violations of this Code of Conduct seriously. Any individual found in violation may face the following measures:
- Warning: A verbal or written warning may be issued for minor infractions, outlining the unacceptable behavior and the expectation for improvement.
- Temporary Suspension: For more serious violations or repeated infractions, the individual may be temporarily suspended from participating in current and future events.
- Permanent Removal: In cases of severe misconduct, harassment, or behavior that jeopardizes the safety and well-being of others, BTG Cycling reserves the right to permanently remove the individual from all activities and events.
- Reporting: All incidents will be documented and investigated promptly. Individuals involved in the reporting process will be treated with confidentiality and respect.

BTG Cycling is dedicated to creating a positive environment for all. We encourage participants and volunteers to uphold the values outlined in this Code of Conduct and to actively contribute to a respectful and inclusive community.
- Review and Amendments
This Code of Conduct will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. BTG Cycling reserves the right to amend this policy as necessary to reflect our commitment to maintaining a respectful environment.
- Acknowledgment
By participating in BTG Cycling events and activities, all individuals acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
